WILLIAMSVILLE - Open auditions for Rock River Players’ September production of Sophocles’ timeless tragedy, “Antigone,” will take place at the Williamsville Hall, on 35 Dover Road, on Saturday, March 9, 3 to 5 pm and Monday, March 11, 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
“Antigone,” first performed in 441 BCE at the ancient Greek festival of Dionysus, is a powerful play of characters caught up in life and death confrontations who evolve in the course of action to spark epiphany and poignant awareness in a caring audience.
