Delicate as magnolias, tough as steel
WILLIAMSVILLE - Rock River Players present Robert Harling’s “Steel Magnolias” on Friday, August 9; Saturday, August 10; Friday, August 16; Saturday, August 17, at 7 pm; and Sunday, August 11 and 18, at 2 pm Williamsville Hall, located at 35 Dover Road.
Based on Harling’s experience with his own sister’s death, the 1987 play is about the bond among a group of Southern women in northwest Louisiana. The title suggests the female characters are as delicate as magnolias but as tough as steel.
