CHESTER- In the final game of the Green Mountain Holiday Tournament on Thursday, December 19,  Twin Valley and Mount St. Joseph battled wire to wire in an entertaining game that lived up to its billing as a championship match.  That was fitting, as MSJ is defending the D2 state championship it earned in March, and Twin Valley was a final-four team for the D4 title last spring. Neither team gave much ground, but in the end Twin Valley used its trademark athleticism and scrappy defense, along with some timely free-throw shooting, to topple the Mounties  54-46.
