Wildcats' playoff game announced

DEERFIELD VALLEY- Local high schools learned who their playoff opponents would be today, as the Vermont Principals Association announced its pairings for the 2019 girls' basektball tournaments.
The ninth-seeded Twin Valley Wildcats (5-15) will travel to Marshfield Wednesday to take on the the eighth-seeded Twinfield Union Trojans in the first round of the Vermont Division 4 playoffs. Game time is 7 pm.
Other area schools also found out their playoff opponents today. In Division 4, seventh-seeded Arlington (9-11) will host #10 Richford (3-15) on Wednesday, also at 7pm.
In Division 3, fifth-ranked Green Mountain (15-5) received a first-round bye. Leland & Gray (3-17) is not participating in the tournmant.
In a stacked Division 2 tournament, seventh ranked Springfield (15-5) will host 10th-ranked Bellows Falls (15-5) Wednesday evening.
In Division 1, eighth-ranked Mount Anthony (11-9) will host Essex (10-10) and #10 Brattleboro (10-10) will travel to Mount Mansfield (12-8). Eleventh-ranked Burr & Burton (9-11) will travel to North Country (14-6). All D1 games are on Tuesday.
Games were announced Monday morning. Boys tournament pairings will be announced Monday, March 4.
