Wildcats overcome feisty Rebels

By Randy Capitani
WHITINGHAM- The Twin Valley Wildcats picked up their first win of the season Tuesday evening, beating the visiting Leland & Gray Rebels 53-37.
Unlike their previous game, the Wildcats took control of the game early on. They cruised out to an early 10-2 lead and were up 19-6 at the end of the first quarter. Twin Valley kept on rolling into the second quarter and held the Rebels to two points for the first six minutes of the quarter. But a late run by the Rebels, fueled by Liam Towle’s five points, cut the Wildcats’ lead to 27-19 at halftime.
