Wildcats move on after playoff win
WILMINGTON- The Twin Valley girls’ varsity soccer team punched their ticket to the quarterfinal round of the state D4 playoffs with a strong 4-0 win over Hazen Union High School on a dreary Tuesday afternoon. The Wildcats were powered by a relentless attack up front that saw them score three times in the first half to put the game away.
Twin Valley needed the offense to control the match because they had to rely on a hastily-rearranged defense in the back. Stalwart sweeper Tiffany Speigel was unable to play due to an illness.
