Wildcats lose a double-overtime heartbreaker
WILMINGTON - The Twin Valley girls’ varsity soccer team played one of its best games of the season on Thursday, October 7, but were unable to come away with the win. The Wildcats lost 3-2 on a penalty kick to visiting Long Trail School in a double-overtime heartbreaker.
“They left it all on the field,” said Twin Valley coach Taryn Lawrence. “To lose that way was devastating. They wanted the win and it showed in their level of play.”
