Wildcats have talent to go far

WHITINGHAM- The fall high school sports season gets underway this week, and veteran Twin Valley soccer coach Buddy Hayford is looking forward to it. Hayford, the winningest active boys’ soccer coach in Vermont, thinks the Wildcats have the talent to build from their 2022 season and be in the hunt for a Southern Vermont League division title and make a state tournament run.
“The fortunes of the team are going to rest on, one, the middle,” said Hayford. “And, two, how quickly the flank players can get on the same page with the middle and how quickly they develop.”
