Wildcats ground Eagles for 14th win
WILMINGTON- The Twin Valley boys’ varsity closed out the regular season with a 2-0 win over Arlington High School Friday evening. It was a hard-fought soccer match, with the Wildcats netting a pair of second-half goals to come away with the senior-night victory.
“The game was quite an affair,” said Twin Valley coach Buddy Hayford. “Arlington is a tough team, we knew that coming in. All you have to do is mention Arlington and that gets the blood pressure going. They came to play, and we were in a dogfight. It was very close.”
