Wildcats fall to Phantoms in D4 championship

BARRE- The Twin Valley Wildcats were hoping to make a little history on Saturday.  No boys’ team from the valley has ever won a boys’ basketball championship, and the team was poised to write a different ending to the story.  Unfortunately for the Wildcats, they ran into a Proctor team that has a little bit of history of its own at the Aud.
The Phantoms beat the Wildcats for the second time in a month, 65-50, and took home the Vermont division 4 state championship.  It was the school’s 18th boys’ basketball championship and fourth in six years in the process.
