Wildcats drop Devils, fall to Terriers
WHITINGHAM- The Twin Valley boys overcame a spirited comeback by the Poultney Blue Devils and held on for a 60-52 win Friday, January 3.
The game was defined by runs by both sides. The Wildcats and the Devils traded baskets in the early going, before a late 5-0 flurry gave Poultney a 16-11 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Twin Valley cranked up its defense in the second quarter, holding Poultney to a meager basket. The Wildcats reeled off 17 points in the quarter, and let 28-18 at halftime.
