Wildcats claw Rebels, Chieftains

TOWNSHEND- The soccer season opened with a bang Friday afternoon, with Twin Valley visiting Leland & Gray in boys’ varsity soccer. It was a tale of two halves, as the Wildcats dominated the first half while the host Rebels took control after the break. In the end, Twin Valley scored a late goal to earn a hard-fought 3-2 win.
“It was fairly typical of an opener,” said Twin Valley coach Buddy Hayford. “Early season, not the prettiest of soccer.”
