Wildcats capture first win of season
WHITINGHAM- The Twin Valley Wildcats wrapped up a trio of varsity softball home games Tuesday afternoon with a 26-9 loss to visiting Mill River.
“It was a close game through the fourth inning,” said Twin Valley coach Fran Cunningham.
Mill River led 4-2 after the third inning, before adding five runs in the top of the fourth. The Wildcats countered with four in the bottom of the fourth and trailed 9-6.
But errors by the young Twin Valley side was their downfall, according to Cunningham.
“Every player had an error besides Sara (Dix). It was crazy.”
