Wildcats bedeviled in season opener

POULTNEY- The Poultney Blue Devils are one of the top teams in division 4 softball this spring. On Saturday they showed why as they spoiled the Twin Valley Wildcats’ season opener, 25-4.
“The girls did really well,” said Twin Valley coach Joni Sullivan. “But they had their first-game jitters.”
Poultney is never an easy road trip for Twin Valley teams, as it’s one of the longest bus rides for an away game in the Southern Vermont League. Add in the opening-game nerves and it wasn’t a good start for the visiting Wildcats.
