MARSHFIELD-  The Twin Valley boys’ soccer team saw their season come to an end Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the state D4 tournament. The fifth-seeded Wildcats suffered  a difficult 1-0 loss to number four Twinfield-Cabot at Twinfield Union High School.
It also was the second time in as many seasons the Wildcats saw their playoff hopes dashed by Twinfield, as they lost a quarterfinal match 2-0 on the same field in 2021.
“It was a frustrating loss,” said Twin Valley coach Buddy Hayford. “A mirror image of last year, deja vu all over again.”
