Wildcat boys make themselves at home

NORTH CLARENDON- Twin Valley and Mill River squared off in a rain-soaked boys’ varsity soccer match Tuesday afternoon. Twin Valley, playing its first-ever match against Mill River, turned out to be an unwelcome guest for the Minutemen. By the time darkness was setting in and the final whistle blew, the Wildcats had squeegeed out a 9-3 win over host Mill River.
“I’ve never seen their field,” said Twin Valley coach Buddy Hayford, who has coached at Twin Valley and its predecessor, Wilmington High School, for the past three decades. “We’ve never played Mill River.”
