On Saturday, December 15, The Gathering Place in West Dover hosted the Ugly Sweater Fun Run. The run took place on the Valley Trail and was attended by locals and some from farther away. Prizes were awarded for the best group, oldest registrant, and the one who came the farthest. The first 25 registrants were given a cup, and each participant was given a blanket as a participation prize. The group prize went to the John Oates family, the oldest participant prize went to Betty Appell (97) of Whitingham, and the farthest-away award went to Colleen Cranny, of Yeppoon, Australia.
