Twin Valley girls rise above Phoenix, make the Phantoms disappear
SHARON- The Twin Valley girls’ basketball team opened the season with a 43-35 win over the Sharon Academy Phoenix Saturday afternoon. The victory was new head coach Jamie Brown’s first varsity win, and the first opening-game win for a Wildcat team in a number of years.
Senior Alanna Bevilacqua led the Wildcats with 16 points, 17 rebounds, and six steals. Ninth grader Kate Oyer also had 16 points.
“We handled the press well and we played great defense,” said Brown, “but got in foul trouble.”
