WILMINGTON - The young Twin Valley girls’ varsity soccer team continues to show improvement. On Saturday, the Wildcats had one of their best matches of the season but came up short, losing 3-1 to visiting Sharon Academy.
“We sadly lost but if you didn’t know the score, you would have thought TV was the winning team,” said coach Taryn Lawrence. “The girls dominated the entire second half of the game and just kept knocking on Sharon Academy’s door.”
Twin Valley had its first lead of the season when eighth grader Reese Croutworst scored two minutes into the first half.
