Twin Valley boys seeded third, open Tuesday.

DEERFIELD VALLEY- Local boys high school basketball team learned who their playoff opponents would be this morning, as the Vermont Principals Association announced its pairings for the 2019 boys' basketball tournaments. 

The No. 3 Twin Valley Wildcats (14-6) will host 14th-ranked Mid Vermont Christian (5-15) in the first round of the Vermont Division 4 playoffs. Game time is 7 pm. The winner of that game will play the winner of the Blue Mountain (11-9) versus Rivendell (7-13) matchup on Friday at 7 pm.   Twin Valley closed out the season with a 57-37 win over Bellows Falls Thursday and a 55-30 win over Leland & Gray Friday.

Other area schools also found out their playoff opponents today. In Division 4, 10th-seeded Arlington (9-10) will will travel to No. 7 West Rutland (11-9)  on Tuesday at 7 pm. 

In Division 3, eighth-ranked Green Mountain (11-9) will host No. 9 Oxbow on Tuesday.   Leland & Gray (4-16) will travel to face No. 4 People's Academy Tuesday. 

In Division 2, 14th-ranked Bellows Falls (10-10) will travel to face third-seeded Lakes Region Wednesday evening. 

In Division 1,  No. 10 Brattleboro (12-8) will travel to face seventh-ranked Burr & Burton (13-7) on Wednesday at 7 pm. Mount Anthony failed to make the 16-team tournament.
