Twin Valley boys lose in final seconds, drop match to top-ranked Mounties

WILMINGTON - One day after the Twin Valley girls’ varsity lost a double-overtime match, the Twin Valley boys’ varsity was also dealt a cruel blow by the soccer gods. A last-minute corner kick broke a tie and gave visiting White River Valley a 2-1 win Friday evening.
“We knew it would be a really close game,” said Twin Valley coach Buddy Hayford. “It was a close one up there, and they were a better team Friday than they were the previous game. They had some injured players back.”
