STRATTON - This year’s Tough Mudder saw a new array of challenging obstacles. The event is not a competition, but rather a chance for people to embrace the uncomfortable and work as a team.

Participants help their teammate summit the “Everest” obstacle.

Teammates become temporary trapezists as they swing across a green pool.

While some obstacles seem fun and enjoyable, like slipping and sliding on the “mud mile,” others seem purely painful, like running through 1,000 electrically charged wires. No matter what, teams end the day muddy, smiling, and proud of what they achieved.
