Teams tee it up for health at Haystack
WILMINGTON - Twenty-two teams, 39 sponsors, and 15 volunteers participated in Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital’s 13th annual Tee It Up For Health golf tournament on Saturday, June 11, at Haystack Golf Course.
The weather was beautiful, the event went smoothly, and over $50,000 was raised thanks to golfers, generous sponsors, and volunteers. Net proceeds from the event benefited Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital’s emergency department renovation project.
Tournament results were as follows: Winners, with a score of 59, were David Allbee, Bill Stevens, Brian Baker, and Skip Brown.Second place went to Els Walker, Terry Boyce, Barbara Knapp, and Susan Fasoldt.
Closest to pin winners: Hole 4 for women went to Kat Bordeau and to John Gregory Sr. for men. Hole 7 for women went to Barbara Knapp and to Peter Schofield for men. Hole 13 for women went to Linda Jane Parsons and to Dan Neviackas for men. Last, long drive for women went to Barbara Knapp and to Dave Allbee for men. The putting contest winner was Father Skip Baltz.
