Take precautions to deal with heat

VERMONT- As the temperatures stay high, people should pay attention to the heat while outside. While enjoying the warm weather, it’s important to remember there are hazards that come with the season: heat, thunderstorms, flash flooding, and dangers associated with outdoor recreational activities.
The National Weather Service, the health departments of Vermont and New York, the US Coast Guard, and Vermont Emergency Management encourage everyone to be mindful of the simple steps to avoid injury while enjoying the great outdoors.
