Summer basketball camps returning to the valley

WHITINGHAM- The 27th annual Deerfield Valley Basketball Camp for boys and girls entering grades five through nine will be held from 1 tp 4 pm at the Twin Valley Middle High School. It runs from Monday, June 26, to Friday, June 30.  Camp director is Buddy Hayford.
The daily schedule includes the teaching of skills such as ball handling, shooting, dribbling, defending, passing, screening, and rebounding all taught in a variety of situations.  The camp utilizes stations, contests, league play, one-on-one and three-on-three competitions, as well as the NOAH shooting program.  All campers receive a custom designed T-shirt and basketball. In addition, campers at TVMHS will have the opportunity to use our newly acquired Dr. Dish for intensive practice.

The sixth annual Wildcat Cub Basketball Camp will be held at the Old School in Wilmington from Monday, June 26, to Friday, June 30.  Boys and girls entering pre-school and grade one will play from 8:30 to 9:30 am,  while those entering grades two to four will play from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. These sessions are an introduction to the basic skills necessary to advance as a prospective player. Camp director is Chris Brown and various high school players will be camp staff.
