Stump Jumpers ride-in set for March 7

DOVER- The Deerfield Valley Stump Jumpers Barbecue Ride-In is the club’s  annual fundraising event.  This year, it is being held Saturday, March 7, from noon to 3 pm  at The Last Chair on Route 100. The menu includes Philly cheese steak, chicken fritter sandwiches, pulled pork, potato salad, coleslaw, and soft drinks.
There will be raffle prizes and a 50/50 raffle. The is no cost, however donations are appreciated at the door.  Come on by and spend some time with fellow riders.
The club’s next monthly meeting is also on March 7, at 8:30 am at the West Dover firehouse.  All DVSJ club members in good standing are always invited to the monthly club meetings.  
Anyone interested in filling a board of directors position can announce their intentions at the March meeting or via email to info@dvsj.com.  The annual elections will be held at the April 4 meeting, which will be at the West Dover firehouse at 8:30 am.
The following positions are available: directors, two three-year terms, one one-year term; officers, president and vice president (available to any individual who has served at least a one-year term as a DVSJ director or prior officer); secretary and treasurer positions (which are appointed by the incoming board).
The snowmobile season got off to a slow start due to the weather.  The grooming schedule is posted on the DVSJ website and updated on Facebook. Stay on the trails. There is no snowmobiling on Route 100. Riders in violation will be ticketed. There is also rogue riding taking place on the embankment of West Lake, the water system for Mount Snow’s snowmaking system.  This section is highly sensitive and if shut down will cut off all points south to Chimney Hill.
