WEST RUTLAND- The Twin Valley girls’ varsity soccer team lost to West Rutland 4-1 Wednesday evening, in a match very similar to the teams’ first meeting last month. Twin Valley led 1-0 at halftime,  only to have the Golden Horde come back with a late goal to break a tie for the win.
“We definitely had our chances and I would say we controlled most of the game,” said Twin Valley coach Robert Bolognani.
Twin Valley took the early lead in the 30th minute. Junior Tiffany Speigel scored her first varsity goal, drilling a rebound off a corner kick past goalie Serena Coombs.
