Rebels, Chieftains top Wildcats

TOWNSHEND- Twin Valley and Leland & Gray squared off on the softball diamond for the first time this season on Thursday, May 9. In what turned out to be a back-and-forth affair, the Rebels came away with a 29-17 win on their home field.
Leland & Gray started out strong, with pitcher Sarah Anderson setting down the Wildcats in order in the top of the first. The Rebels then sent 12 batters to the plate in the bottom of the first, scoring nine of them.  It was a rough start for Twin Valley and pitcher Hannah Sullivan, as the Wildcats didn’t help themselves in the field.
