Pickleball pair plays at world championships

WILMINGTON- Pickleball has become the fastest growing participatory sport in the United States.  Due to that popularity it was only a matter of time before some local players earned the opportunity to play in a national pickleball event.
That is exactly what happened earlier this month, when Paul Croutworst, a resident of Halifax and the owner of 802 Fitness in Wilmington, and his partner Troy Skalski, of nearby Shelburne Falls, MA, took part in the Lapiplasty World Pickleball Championships, which were held November 4 through 10  in Farmers Branch, TX, just outside Dallas.
