Moonlight snowshoe hike

MARLBORO- A moonlight snowshoe hike will be held on Hogback Mountain on Saturday, March 7, from 7 to 8:30 pm.

When the moon is full in winter, the snow reflects the light and things are so bright one can even see colors.  The moon will be just two days shy of full on Saturday, March 7.
The Hogback Mountain Conservation Association is hosting this hike, which is free and open to the public.  Everyone is welcome!  Meet in the parking lot on the south side of Route 9 near the Distillery at 7 pm.  Bring a flashlight or headlamp to use in an emergency
Those who are really brave can climb to the top of the fire tower and look around at the lights from the surrounding towns.
Cancellation information will be posted   on the website by 4 pm on the day of the event. The most likely reasons for cancelling would be conditions. No snow, but icy crust or just bare ground?  Or overcast, with no moon visible?  Nope, stay home.
