Locals to take part in twin state match

HANOVER, NH - The annual Lions Cup soccer matches, between graduating seniors from Vermont and New Hampshire, is returning after a one-year hiatus. The games will be held on Saturday, July 17, at Hanover High School. The women’s game starts off the day at 2 pm and the men’s game wraps it up at 4:30 pm. Between the two games there will be introductions to recognize players selected to the 2020 teams from New Hampshire and Vermont.
Izaak Park, of Wilming­ton, VT, will represent Twin Valley Middle High School on the defense in the men’s game. Riley Barton, of South Newfane, VT, will play at midfield, representing Leland & Gray Union Middle and High School. Also representing Leland & Gray is Chris Barton, of South Newfane, who will be an assistant coach.
The Lions Twin State Soccer Association, in conjunction with the New Hampshire and Vermont soccer coaches associations, sponsors the games.
