WHITINGHAM- For the Twin Valley girls’ varsity basketball team, success during the upcoming season will probably come down to scoring. According to Wildcat coach Buddy Hayford, the 2019-2020 team needs to reverse the negative point differential that hindered last season’s squad.
“We averaged 31 points per game last season,” said Hayford in an interview last week, “but we gave up 43 points per game. So this year we’ve got to stiffen up a little on defense. I always say if we can hold a team to 32 points we’ll win most of those games.”
