CHESTER- The Twin Valley girls’ varsity gave themselves an early holiday present last Thursday evening as they topped Sharon Academy 59-14 in the consolation game of the Green Mountain High School holiday tournament.
In a turnabout from the opening game of the tournament December 18, when Green Mountain toasted the Wildcats 56-13, it was Twin Valley who took control of the game early and never looked back.
“There were so many good things that happened,” said Twin Valley coach Buddy Hayford. “It was the opposite from Tuesday. We completely overmatched the opponent.”
