Expected purchase of land for trail use
DOVER- When the selectboard announced earlier this month the planned purchase of a 50-acre tract of land in the West Dover village, it might have been a surprise to many in the area. But it wasn’t to Andy McLean, town clerk and a member of the town’s Dover Area Recreational Trails committee.
McLean said recently that he and the members of the town’s trails committee were part of the impetus behind the land purchase. It’s a tract of land he knows well, one he sees as a great opportunity for the town.
