Cold ices game, pitcher delivers heat

WOODSTOCK- When it comes to high school softball, pitching often carries the day. Such was the case Saturday as the host Woodstock Wasps rode the hot hand of pitcher Jordan Allard all the way to a 12-0 win over the visiting Twin Valley Wildcats.
“The girls really played well in the field,” said Twin Valley coach Joni Sullivan. “They just couldn’t get past that pitcher.”
Allard used her fastball to keep the Wildcats off balance, off the bases, and off the scoreboard. Allard’s heater had the young Twin Valley squad unsettled at the plate throughout the game.
