Blue Devils spoil Twin Valley’s senior night, Wildcats clawed by Lions
WHITINGHAM- It was senior night at Twin Valley Middle High School Monday evening, as the Wildcats hosted Poultney in girls’ varsity basketball action. Unfortunately for the hosts, the visiting Blue Devils stuck a fork in the Wildcats’ celebration plans and left with a 40-26 win.
Twin Valley had a rough first quarter, scoring only two points on a putback by senior Alanna Bevilacqua. Poultney hit three consecutive three-point shots, including two by sophomore Olivia Despres, to pull out to a 12-2 lead.
