WHITINGHAM- Twin Valley and Poultney each came into Saturday’s varsity baseball game looking to pick up their first win of the season.  Ultimately, it was the visiting Blue Devils who came out ahead. They handed the host Wildcats a 25-13, six-inning loss.
Jayden Mead was the winning pitcher for Poultney. He was helped by big innings at the plate in the fourth and fifth.
Joe Crafts started for the Wildcats and threw well in the early innings.  But the Wildcats eventually ran out of pitchers, according to coach Greg Nido.
