Caught in the act
NEWFANE- Vermont State Police were notified of a burglary in progress at a house in Newfane at about 12:37 pm on Tuesday, April 23. While police were en route, the 911 caller advised that several people were entering the house, located at the corner of Route 30 and Back Street. State police arrived and took three men into custody while a fourth fled the scene on foot. After a brief search, the fourth man was located walking on Route 30.
