Controlled burns set for GMNF
Various areas of the Green Mountain National Forest will undergo prescribed burns this spring.
VERMONT- The Green Mountain National Forest officials are planning prescribed fire operations beginning in April and continuing in May. They estimate this work to continue through the spring as weather conditions allow. They use prescribed fires to help reduce overgrown vegetation to help protect local communities, infrastructure, and natural resources from wildfires.
