WILMINGTON - A snow-covered Haystack Mountain can be seen looming above this pasture. A late-afternoon snowfall covered much of the high country on Saturday.

SOUTHERN VERMONT - Snow blanketed much of the high country in the area Saturday afternoon and caused Route 9 between Wilmington and Bennington to be closed for an hour. By Sunday, the road was open.

The Last Scare: trick or treating for a good cause

DOVER - Creepy costume-wearers of all ages were out at The Last Chair Friday evening for a Halloween Trunk-or-Treat. The event was part of a fundraiser held by the Dover restaurant to benefit school clubs in Dover and Wardsboro.
