To the Editor,
I am writing to clarify the impressions left by the recent article regarding the A1 reclassification of Lake Raponda and the assumptions made by the town of Wilmington selectboard in their reaction to the Lake Raponda Association’s explanation of the program at the Tuesday, August 3, meeting. Reclassification of the lake from B2 water to A1 water would provide voluntary protective programs guided by the state, with state funding, to stem the increase of phosphorus. It would have no impact on boating or recreational use of the lake.
