Viola E. “Tootie” Fuller
ROCHESTER- Viola E. “Tootie” Fuller, 85, died Sunday, April 28, at Rutland Regional Medical Center. She was born in Granville, on December 9, 1933, the daughter of Lona Shirley Haggett and William Haggett, of Granville.
She grew up in Granville and later moved to Wilmington, where she met her husband John W. Fuller. They were married March 1, 1955, and together had five children. She moved to Rochester in 1987.
Mrs. Fuller enjoyed NASCAR (Dale Earnhardt Jr.), baseball (Boston Red Sox), fancy cars, cooking, and all things red. She enjoyed her family, friends, and customers most of all. She worked for 63 years, including at the Pownal race track and many restaurants throughout Vermont, as well as owning her own restaurant called Tooties Place at Mount Snow Ski Area.
Mrs. Fuller was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John; and their infant son Denis. She is survived by many including her four remaining children, Sandra L. Fuller Young, of Pittsfield, MA, Gary D. Fuller, of Wilmington, Bruce B. Fuller, of Wilmington, and Robert L. Fuller, of Wilmington; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many close friends.
