Terri Garland

WARDSBORO- Terri L. Garland, 59, died unexpectedly March 26 at her home. Terri was born in Townshend on January 26, 1964, the daughter of the late M. Lee and Inez (Streeter) Bills. She attended Wardsboro Elementary schools and graduated from Leland & Grey High School in Townshend.
Terri was the treasurer for the town of Jamaica for 12 years. She was the manager for Townshend Auction Gallery, manager of Lawrence’s Smoke Shop, and treasurer for the town of Stratton for many years.
Terri enjoyed keeping to herself. She enjoyed her dog Ember, going to casinos, Vegas trips, and vacations with her sister Jackie. She enjoyed watching birds, especially cardinals and hummingbirds; and spending time with her family. Terri is survived by her daughter Chelsea Garland, of Jacksonville; sister Jacqueline Bedard, of Wardsboro; brother Lawrence “Coop” Bills, of Stratton; nephews John Bedard and Corey and Cooper Bills; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A celebration of life for Terri will be held Saturday, April 8, at 1 pm at the Stratton Town Hall. There are no visiting hours.
The family asks that those in attendance please wear tie dye if they have it, as it was one of Terri’s favorite things.
