Ronald Durfey

St. Petersburg, FL- Ronald Durfey, of St. Petersburg, formerly of West Chesterfield, NH,  died on November 5, 2017 at the age of 80.  
Mr. Durfey is survived by his wife Carol, of St. Petersburg; daughter Shannon Kelso (Matt), of Mount Holly, NC; and stepsons  David Bird (Lisa), of Chester, CT, and Alan Bird, of West Brattleboro, VT.
He leaves five step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Skip Durfey, of Jacksonville; two half brothers, Wayne Durfey, of Southwick, MA, and William Wheeler, of Readsboro, VT; and two half sisters, Debra Tatro, of Westfield, MA, and Rose Pinder, of Southwick, MA. Mr. Durfey was preceded in death by half brother Johnny Durfey, of Southwick, MA; his mother and stepfather, Wilma and Warner Wheeler; and his father, Will Durfey.
Graveside services will be held in the Chesterfield West Cemetery on Poor Road in West Chesterfield, NH, Saturday,  April 28, at 11 am.  
All are welcome to join the family in a celebration of his life following the burial at The Tavern Restaurant, 889 Putney Road, Brattleboro, VT.  
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department.
