Richard E. Williams

ZEPHYR HILLS, FL- Richard E. Williams, 81, a resident of Jacksonville, VT, and Dade City, died December 21, in Florida. Mr. Williams was born in Whitingham, VT, on February 25, 1937, the son of the late Raymond and Marion Hughes Williams, and attended local schools. He was a truck driver for 20 years and a police officer and local constable for another 20 years. Mr. Williams was a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict, and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed working around his home, especially making home improvements.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife Marie Moore Williams, whom he married in Wilmington on April 16, 1955; his son Steven Williams, of Jacksonville, VT; daughter Jacquelyn Williams, of Elliot, ME; seven grandchildren;  and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Thomas Williams, in 1999, and his great-grandchild Kelly.
Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be held at the Jacksonville Community Church  and will be announced in the spring.
