Nancy Matais

PORTSMOUTH, RI- Nancy Matais, 77, died  Thursday, April 19.  Mrs. Matais was born on April 7, 1941 In Whitingham, VT to Constance and Noyes Wheeler.  She graduated from Whitingham High School in 1960 and went on to graduate from Johns Hopkins School of Nursing.
Mrs. Matais was predeceased by her sister, Diane Roberts of Cape Cod, MA. She is survived by her husband Joseph; son Thomas of Triverton, RI; daughter Teri Ahmad, her husband Dr. Nadeen Ahmad, and their sons Ben and Alex, of Hellerston, PA, and daughter Jennifer Matais of Middletown; brother Whitman Wheeler and his wife Antonia, of Troy, ME, and sister Elizabeth and her husband Rusty Allen, of Whitingham, VT. Mrs. Matais was grandmother to Nancy-Marie and great-grandmother to Liam and Jayce.
