Michael Miner

NORTH STONINGTON, CT- Life-long resident Michael S. Miner, 62, died unexpectedly of a heart attack while at home working on his beloved farm Monday afternoon, May 24. 
Mr. Miner was loved by many and respected by all. After retiring from his job in the state of Connecticut, he could always be found working on his farm with a warm wave and a big smile for all who passed by, along with his dog Lulu and his sidekick Jackson. He leaves behind his wife Cindy and three children, Janice (Jim) Tuttle, Jennifer (Duke), Preston, and Justin Miner,  all of North Stonington; step-daughters Michelle (Brad) Hurlbert, of Warwick MA, and Melissa Georlach, of Ocala, FL; grandchildren Jenna Melzer (Tristan), Jocelyn and James Tuttle, of North Stonington,  and Jordan and Jarred Hurlbert, of Warwick, MA; and great-granddaughter Mila, also of North Stonington. He also leaves behind his three brothers, Bruce (Sheila), of Pawcatuck, Harold (Annette), of Mystic, and Ricky, of Vermont. 
He was preceded in death by his parents Stewart and Norma Miner; and Jack and Sally Sylvia, who passed the farm on to Mr. Miner.  A celebration of life will be held at the farm at a later date.
