Meredith Wood

DANBURY, CT- Meredith Ellen Corkins Wood, 104, died Saturday, June 2, at Hancock Hall surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Wood was born October 1, 1913 in Wilmington, VT, to  the late Clarence and Genie Ray Corkins.  She now joins her husband, Robert L. Wood, who died in 1975.
Mrs. Wood will be sadly missed by her sons Robert H. Wood, of Washington DC,  Norman Wood and his wife Charlotte, of Bridgewater, CT, and Douglas Wood and his wife Lynn, of Rockaway Township, NJ; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A  celebration of life service will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 21, at the Second Church in Newton, 60 Highland Street, West Newton, MA,  with a collation immediately following at the church.
