Lothar D. Francke

READSBORO- Lothar D. Francke, 94, a resident of Main Street, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 4,  at his residence.
Born in Berlin, Germany on January 22, 1927, he was the son of the late Erich and Elfreda (Hoffman) Francke.  He received his education in the Berlin schools and attended dentistry school in Berlin.
During World War II he served in the German Army.  During that time he was captured by the Russians and taken to a concentration camp in Siberia.  At the end of the war he was released and walked from Siberia back to his home in Berlin.
