Joseph G. Tucci

WILMINGTON- Joseph G. Tucci, 86, a resident of Castle Hill, died Thursday, April 25, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Mr. Tucci was born in the Bronx, NY, on April 13, 1933, the son of the late Joseph and Erminia Segretti Tucci, and attended Bronx schools. He worked as a sheet metal fabricator for many years and then later became a union officer. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict era. He was a member of the Deerfield Valley Rotary Club where he was very active in the community. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church where he was also very active.
Mr. Tucci was an avid skier and enjoyed skiing at Mount Snow until the age of 83, and he also worked there for a short while. He loved being with family and friends, had a voracious sense of humor, and enjoyed going to dinner with different groups of friends throughout the week.
Mr. Tucci is survived by his nephews, Michael Tucci and his wife Heidi, of Lagrangeville, NY,  Mark Tucci and his wife Heather, of Purdys, NY, and Keith Tucci and his wife Emily, of Pawling, NY. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan Cuddihy Tucci, whom he married in the Bronx, NY, in 1980; and his brother Ronald Tucci, who died in November 1990.
A mass of Christian death and burial was celebrated Wednesday May 1, at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church in Wilmington.
